(hereinafter referred to as China Haisum Stock), wholly reformed by Sinolight Corporation (which is under the jurisdiction of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commision of the State Council) affiliating some other strategic investors and established upon Shanghai Design Institute of Light Industry of China, is one of the biggest comprehensive stock engineering listed companies in China, which provides engineering consultation, design, supervision and EPC including procurement, construction, training and trial run, etc.
The headquarter of China Haisum Stock is located in Shanghai. It has altogether 11 subsidiary companies which are located in Beijing, Guangzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Nanning, Chengdu, Xian, etc. The total asset of China Haisum Stock is about RMB1.385 billion.

They are Class A certificates of engineering design, EPC, engineering consultation, engineering evaluation consultation, environments engineering design, building intellectualizing engineering design and engineering supervision as well as a Class B city planning certificate. Besides, it holds a Class A Shanghai engineering equipment supervision certificate, a Class A certificate of engineering construction drawings and design documents examining organization issued by the Shanghai Construction and Communication Committee, classification A and D pressured vessel design licenses, classification GB and GC pressured piping design licenses and a scientific technology consulting certificate issued by the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee. In 1992, it got the right to engage in international business, approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. Having approved by the Ministry of Commerce it was allowed to take EPC of engineering projects overseas. In 1988, it became an attorney until dealing with foreign investment projects, approved by the Shanghai Foreign Trade and Economic Committee. After being checked by the Word Bank in 1992, it was qualified to be a consulting company to evaluate projects asking for loans from the Word Bank. In addition, it became one of first cooperation consulting firms of foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan design companies, which was published in the document NO.0961 (93) by the Shanghai Construction Committee.

In the book of the Most of the Republic’ compiled by the State Bureau of Statistics, the Shanghai Design Institute of Light Industry (the former name of the company) ranked first among all design institutes in China in terms of number of awards conferred. Since 1992, it has been continuously judged as one of top 100 strong comprehensive prospecting & design institutes in China by the Ministry of Construction and the State Bureau of Statistics. Since 2004, China Haisum Stock has been continuously judged for 6 years as one of the top 60 China prospecting & design institutes ranking 18 & 21, by the world authoritative Engineering New Records (ENR). In addition, it has been awarded as Shanghai Civilization Unit continuously 7 times by the Government of Shanghai.

Since 1953, the headquarter in Shanghai has undertaken over 9,800 domestic engineering deign projects, of which over 1,600 projects were invested by foreigners, 85 oversea projects located in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, and over 8,500 sets of non-standard equipment designs.
