There are about 750 employees in the headquarter in Shanghai including 1 national design master, 8 experts enjoying government subsidy, 110 senior engineers (equal to professor level), 130 senior engineers and 400 registered engineers .

Haisum is licensed to engage in the EPC projects with a variety of top class qualification certificates of engineering design issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China including light and textile, architecture, machinery, electronic communication, broadcast, television, agriculture and forestry, trade and commissariat, environment, etc. Besides, we hold classification A and D pressure vessel design licenses, classification GB, GC and GD pressure pipe design licenses and a Class-B city planning certificate. With the approval of Ministry of Commerce, we are allowed to take overseas EPC projects. In addition, approved by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Construction and Administration, Haisum can provide consulting service for foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan design companies. Designated by the World Bank, Haisum is a qualified engineering consulting corporation for the loan projects of the World Bank.

Haisum got the ISO9001 certificate in 1998 by carrying out this standard since 1997. While promoting the EPC projects these years, we have implemented the Environment, Occupational Health and Safety (EHS) Management System, and got this certificate in 2008.

With the computer networking for technical management and engineering design covering all disciplines, we have adopted professional software of system platform and application software including 3D design and also equipped with network facilities such as video, VPN, wireless access, etc. that suit for the development of our business.

Since Haisum’s establishment in 1953, we have accomplished more than 9,800 domestic projects (1,600 among them are foreign-invested), more than 85 overseas projects all over Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America and about 8,500 sets of non-standard equipment design.

Haisum has been devoting itself to creating excellent design for projects. We have got more than 400 awards (more than 50 among them are national level) including excellent prizes for engineering consultation, engineering design, EPC, project management, science and technology progress, etc. And in the book of the ‘Most’ of The Republic complied by State Bureau, statistics show that Haisum has been ranking first among all Chinese design institutes in the number of awards conferred by nation and owns several technology patents.

Since 1992, Haisum has been continuously judged as one of the top 100 China prospecting & design institutes in comprehensive strength by Ministry of Construction and State Bureau of Statistics. Haisum has been continuously evaluated for 7 years since 2004 as one of the top 60 China prospecting & design companies by ENR and China Construction Times. Haisum has been recognized as ‘Shanghai New-High Technology Corporation’, ‘2008 Shanghai Advanced Enterprise in Construction Project Quality’ and ‘2009 Shanghai Integrity Enterprise in Prospecting & Design Quality’.
